8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (also known as simply Cats Does Countdown and Catsdown) is a cross between the panel game 8 Out of 10 Cats and the game show Countdown.
The show follows the format of Countdown, but with hosts and contestants from 8 Out of 10 Cats, and an emphasis on humour.
Quickly developing throughout 2004, he was one of six acts to reach the final of the J2O Last Laugh Comedy Search.
Having impressed a sell-out crowd in Bristol, he marked the end of his first year in comedy with a performance at the Criterion Theatre in London's West End.
He was then signed by the Green Bay Packers of the NFL in 2006 and joined the Seahawks in 2008. On Halloween when he was 8 years old he dressed up as a punter.
He attended Sheldon-Williams Collegiate for high school, where he played as running back, placekicker and punter on the school's football team.
Richardson started out in comedy aged 19, but his big break came touring with Comedian Alan Carr in 2006.
He’s also been a regular on spin-off 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown since it began in 2012. “It’s basically a small terrified man and his (would you believe it) even smaller and sometimes more terrified wife making a list of the things that they’re scared might kill them, and then me going out and looking into them,” Richardson explains. But in a new documentary for Channel 4 the anxiety-ridden comedian and his wife, fellow comic Lucy Beaumont, confront these fears, everything from sausages to sink holes.Judges Jasper Carrott and Dave Spikey were both "extremely impressed" with Richardson's performance.In 2006, Richardson appeared in The Comedy Zone at the Edinburgh Festival.
